The National Lacrosse League released its 2011 season schedule on Thursday. All ten teams will start play on Saturday, January 8th kicking off the twenty-fifth year of indoor arena lacrosse.
This season's schedule features many more two game weekends for teams than years prior, especially when it comes to cross-divisional match-ups. Each team will play sixteen games, with eight home games - similar to the last two seasons.
April 1st will feature a rematch of the 2010 Champion's Cup game between the champion Washington Stealth and the Toronto Rock. The defending champion Stealth start the season with a two game weekend, facing the Colorado Mammoth on Saturday and playing the Calgary Roughnecks on Sunday at home.
